Storms can be dangerous even after they have passed.

Storms can be dangerous even after they have already passed. The damage they leave behind can leave unforeseen damages behind. Be sure to follow the tips below to make sure you and your family stay safe. They are very simple but can be extremely helpful during the next large storm.

Do not enter buildings that sustained structural damage.

Do not swim in flood waters.

Avoid using candles or open flames in doors.

Locate and keep your fire hydrant handy.

Try to keep your pet indoors and on a leash if they are outside.

Stay away from damaged trees and broken limbs.

Shut off the gas if you smell it.

Storms continue to be dangerous even after they have passed so be sure to keep you and your loved ones safe.
